Aptly named, LE GROS VENTRE (THELARGE BELLY), she was abandoned after the Kerguelen expedition in 1772 and sailing alone under the command of M.de St. Allouam; she went on the discover the west coast of Australia in March of 1772.. Her drafts are preserved in Vincennes at the Service Historique de la Marine. An absolutely magnificent production package, which includes: a 132 pp paperback book profusely illustrated, including 29 captioned photos showing the model built by Vincent Davenas; plus 34 fold-out plates in the scale of 1/48; all of which are encased in a hardcover folder with dj.
